Poem of the Week: Gone by Gabe Reed

Gone
by Gabe Reed
Ever know the kindest soul
Filled with light unto the seams
But her kind light others stole
Leaving her with darkened dreams
Ever seen her double fold
Pained and crumpled by the weight
From the worries others told
So worried of their own fate
Just a tired burnt-out shell
Is all that she has come to be
Left in a personal hell
Problems all that she can see
She won’t stop until her death
But she walks towards it’s cold clasp
Every problem every breath
Until it’s life she tries to grasp
But it’s gone.
