Club Feature: Novel Writing Club
Novel Writing club encourages creativity and improves writing skills. The club meets on Wednesdays after school in Mr.Underland’s room, 507.
The club offers a multitude of tools for students. For instance, students learn about writing novels or short stories and the class provides workshops for students to improve their writing.
Paige Holder, a member of the Novel Writing club, states that they found this club interesting and joined because they enjoyed having “a place that was based around writing and helping people work through the process of writing a novel.”
The Novel Writing Club currently consists of around 11 members. Their community has been described by one of their members as very fun, supportive, and helpful. Regardless if you’re a first-time writer or a seasoned writer you’ll find the Novel Writing club to be a comfortable place to ask for help with your writing, sharing your novels, or sharing your short stories.
Recently, the club has started another cycle of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). This event lasts a month and is supposed to be a challenge for writers to write their own 50,000-word-long novel. This event is held every year starting in the month of November. If you feel like challenging yourself, improving your skills, and testing your writing, then you should join the Novel Writing club and participate in their events.
