Boys wrestling pins for the win

On Thursday, January 26th, OHS’ wrestling team took the win against Puyallup.  They finished the meet with a ten-point lead of 43-33 giving them their first win of the season so far. Elliot Watkins, a sophomore at OHS, explains how he could see improvement throughout everyone on his team. He specifically shouts out his teammate Brodie Jones for utilizing their recently learned skills and taking home the win.  Watkins believes that although “Olympia wrestling has been struggling, [they’ve] got the momentum going now. With new transfers from capital and development in the younger guys, OHS wrestling is heading up.”  It is amazing to see this inspiring meet and turning point in the wrestling season.
