Robotics off to State!
Jan 9, 2023
On Saturday, December 17th, while most of OHS was sleeping in, the OHS Robotics Club met at Capital High School at 5:45 am to head to Battleground, Washington to participate in the First Tech Challenge. The club’s two teams, 6424 Oly Cow and 8545 Bearly Functioning, were challenged to build robots designed to stack cones on poles of different lengths. According to competitor Neha Kovuri, they were initially challenged by the design process, but both teams made it to state and won an award; the Think Award for 6424 Oly Cow, awarded for the recording of the design process, and the Connect Award for 8545 Bearly Functioning, awarded for community outreach. The state FTC will take place in Seattle on January 28. Good luck at State, Robotics!
