Bears dominate at “pink out”
On Friday, January 13th, OHS’ Girls Basketball team faced off against Graham-Kapowsin in their “pink out” game to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness. The Bears took the win 68-30, bringing their record to an impressive 11-5.
Taylor Whaley, a senior at OHS, said the game was a lot of fun. She explains that “wearing the pink jerseys and seeing everyone in the gym wearing pink brought an exciting and energetic atmosphere.” This highlights how important it is for our student body to show up for both male and female athletics. School spirit attributes greatly to team success, as shown in Whaley’s recap of the game “we won 68-30 and played one of our best games as a team”.
OHS looks forward to watching the success of the girls as they continue their season.
