The Feminism Club teaches about equality, supports everyone’s rights, and encourages people to work together for a world where everyone is treated fairly and with respect.
It is currently run by Nel Mcguiean, Clara Randall, and Evie Penrod. The club is held during Bear Time A in Mrs. Halverson’s classroom (room 904).
The club is all about supporting equality and helping everyone feel respected and valued, no matter their gender. It teaches students about the importance of fairness and encourages people to stand up for what is right.
Mcguiean discussed how she felt when she began leading the club. “I was excited to bring students’ voices out within the club and be able to hear how others feel about feminine empowerment.”
Feminism is the belief that everyone should have the same rights and opportunities, regardless of gender. The Feminism Club helps students understand that both genders should be treated equally and that no one should feel less important because of their gender. Members of the club work together to share ideas and talk about ways to make the world better for everyone.
During these discussions, students talk about what it means to be treated fairly and how to help make sure everyone gets the same chances in life. They also listen to each other’s opinions and ideas, which helps them understand different points of view.
The club organizes events for the whole school. For example, they might create posters that show messages about kindness and respect. The club also sometimes invites guest speakers to talk about how the community can work together to support equal rights for everyone. “We like to do engaging activities like making posters, or hosting group discussions,” Penrod explained.
The club also helps students speak up if they see something unfair happening. Whether it is in the classroom or off campus, the Feminism Club shows students that they have the power to make a difference by standing up for what is right.
Being part of the Feminism Club helps students build confidence. By talking about important topics and learning how to speak up for what they believe in, students feel more empowered. The club also helps students build strong friendships with others who care about making the world a better place.
The Feminism Club at this school is a special group that helps students learn about equality, fairness, and respect. It provides a safe space where students can talk about important issues and work together to create a better world. By being part of the Feminism Club, students not only learn about gender equality but also about how to be kind, confident, and brave in standing up for what is right. The Feminism Club is a great place for students who care about making a positive difference in the world.
