Ember Goods, nestled on a bustling street corner, exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere. Large windows allow natural light to flood the space, illuminating rustic wooden tables and mismatched chairs that encourage lingering conversations. The sound of espresso machines hissing blends with the gentle chatter of customers, creating a cozy hum that envelops the space. Ember Goods is a friend to many in Olympia.

Schwartz’s is located in downtown Olympia. It is a pivotal place for Olympians to either get some serious studying and work done or to simply stop by for a caffeinated beverage or bagel for a good start to the day. Schwartz’s is an extension of San Francisco Street Bakery, which has been a staple of Olympia’s Eastside neighborhood for the past 30 years.

Nestled in downtown Olympia, Bar Francis is more than just a coffee shop; it’s a vibrant hub where stories brew alongside every cup of coffee. Bar Francis has a humble and homey feel to it, helping the customers to feel right at home as soon as they step in the door. The Owner also incorporates local art and sculpting to promote local artists and doubles as good decorations that adds to the aesthetic of the shop. Maia Maki is a senior and a journalist for the Olympus. She plays for the Varsity Olympia Flag Football Team and is a captain of the Olympia Girls Tennis Team. She enjoys hiking, skiing and spending quality time with her loved ones in her free time. She is excited to help make the Olympus the best it's ever been.
